Do I Have to Use Paper Straws?

I always choose paper straws as they are more environmentally friendly and typically very inexpensive. I’ve found paper drinking straws in large bulk packages on Amazon for very little.

The best thing about them is that since they are so cheap, you can buy in a multitude of colors and designs. That makes it easy to customize your mason jar vase for a holiday or just to fit the colors of your rooms.

Can I Use Any Jar or Does it Have to Be a Mason Jar?

You do not have to use a specific mason jar for this project. Instead, you can use any wide-mouthed jar for the DIY vase. Condiment jars that have been emptied and washed are also an excellent choice.

Just remove the paper label with some goo gone and you have a great choice for making a vase.
