Regarding the Traditional Tuna Macaroni Salad
Even though I haven't had this salad in decades, I still adore it! It feels like going home when I return to my small town origins after feeling like I'm constantly pursuing the newest recipe or the newest trendy thing. I was shocked to see that there was a little article about Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad With Tuna.
The salad may be made in a variety of ways, but at its most basic, it consists of little macaroni, tuna, celery, and a dressing (I enjoy mine with a little vinegar and dry mustard powder, one of my Top Secret Super Stealth Arsenal of Ingredients). The aforementioned combination, coupled with some finely chopped red and green onions and red peppers, hard-boiled eggs (see, it's a meal!) and little cheddar cheese cubes, is my favorite.
This is traditionally cooked with sweet pickle relish, but you may also use capers, olives, or dill pickle relish. Really, anything with a little tang. If you feel like it, you may add some flavor to the creamy dressing by adding a teaspoon of garlic and/or onion powder. Peas also appear in many dishes. They're not really my thing, but feel free to include them. Make your own version of this classic tuna macaroni salad. Heck, you can eat it without tuna if you don't like it.
How to Make a Classic Tuna Macaroni Salad?
The greatest tuna macaroni salad may be made with only a few tips. For the noodles to have a wonderful bite, they should be cooked just al dente. However, because those al dente noodles tend to absorb some of the moisture, you'll need to add more dressing than you think you'll need. This can make your salad seem a little dry after it's cooled. Additionally, before serving this salad, you should refrigerate it.
The amount of moisture required is usually somewhat variable, but there is a technique to address this. Stir the salad, but do not yet garnish it. When you take it out to serve, if it's still too thick and not creamy, thin it up with a little water. I understand that you're probably thinking, "Whaaaat?" Believe me when I say that you should add a tablespoon or two, or even a quarter cup or more, mix the salad to bring it back to its full potential, then garnish and serve.

Reducing the Cost of Traditional Tuna Macaroni Salad
Finding a salad at a potluck (or at home) that tastes and tastes so good at such a low cost is difficult. Why not go a bit crazy and make this the most sumptuous Old Fashioned Tuna Macaroni Salad you can? All of the components are among the least costly ones you'll find.
I just don't use coupons as often as I used to because my shop stopped double them a while ago. I do frequently use coupons to purchase pasta and other necessities, stockpiling up during sales. Macaroni, for example, usually doubles in size when cooked, and 8 ounces dry equals around 2 cups, so 4 cups cooked. I take it home and put it in the freezer for three days, just like any other product that contains flour. Thus, there is no chance of Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad With Tuna.
