To make these placemats, all you need is Duck Brand Well-spoken Laminate, a tuft of pretty fall leaves and a pair of scissors.
Step 1: Collect fall leaves and place them in the pages of heavy books to preserve them. I like to line my typesetting pages with reprinting paper so the pages don’t get ruined. The leaves will be ready to use without well-nigh a week. They should finger dry to the touch.
Step 2: Cut two 18″ pieces of the well-spoken laminate. It has a grid printed on the paper, so this step is super easy.
Step 3: Remove the paper valuables from one piece of laminate. Place it sticky side up on your work surface, then start arranging leaves pretty side lanugo onto the laminate.
Step 4: Once you are satisfied with your leaf design, remove the paper valuables from the second sheet of laminate and thoughtfully part-way it over the other sheet and printing the two together. Smooth it out and printing firmly, then trim off any glut parts virtually the edges so that no increasingly sticky surface remains.
And that’s it! A super quick and easy fall craft, but really a lot of fun for the whole family. My kids are once asking to go on flipside walk to collect increasingly leaves. This time they want to make an unshortened table runner.
