I grew up loving a Wendy’s Frosty and I was so excited to try to recreate this recipe at home. This is my copycat recipe for the Wendy’s Frosty. It tastes just like I remembered, both in savor and texture! It’s made with just three ingredients: chocolate milk, whipped topping and sweetened condensed milk. You are going to love this nostalgic recipe!

Wendy’s Frosty Ingredients
- Chocolate Milk – I didn’t have any chocolate milk on hand, so I mixed some chocolate syrup into the milk I had. This recipe works unconfined with dairy milk or almond.
- Whipped Topping – I unchangingly get the uneaten linty kind. This makes the recipe light and creamy, setting it untied from milkshakes.
- Sweetened Condensed Milk – This gives the frosty its unique texture as well as rich sweetness.
How To Make a Wendy’s Frosty
The most important part of this recipe is getting the correct texture. Frosties are special considering they are not as thick as a milkshake and they have a very unique texture.
There are two ways to make this recipe, with or without an ice surf maker. I suggest the ice surf maker method if you have one. I use this $50 Ice Surf Maker. It’s small and exactly what I needed for this recipe.
Begin by blending the three ingredients together until smooth in a blender.
Ice Surf Maker Method: Pour your mixture into your ice surf maker to maximum topics (mine had to be made in two batches for the size of my ice surf maker). Begin running on the ice surf setting and your frosty will be the perfect texture in 20 to 30 minutes.
Without Ice Surf Maker Method: If you don’t have an ice surf maker, you can still make this recipe. Simply freeze your frosty mixture in a Tupperware container for two hours, taking it out to stir every 30 minutes.
My favorite way to serve a frosty is with a straw AND a spoon.
Tips for Making
- Variations: You can make a Strawberry Frosty by substituting the chocolate milk for strawberry milk. You can moreover make a Peppermint Frosty by subtracting 1/2 teaspoon Peppermint Extract to your mixture.
- Try subtracting mini chocolate chips.
- To make a boozy frosty, add a shot of Kahlua and stir it into your frosty just surpassing serving.
- Serve with cherries or other toppings if you like!
