Do I Have to Fill This With Candy?

You can use these bags to hold anything, not just candy. If the kids do a scavenger hunt, these bags can be used to hold what the kids find. You can also fill these bags with little trinkets from Easter party games.

The bags can also be used to hold different foods like popcorn or chips. The kids can even fill their bags with fresh cut flowers. There is no end to the possibilities with these bags.

Can I Use Different Colored Bags?

If you can not find white bags or have brown bags on hand, you can use any color bag you like. If you are using a color other than white, you can paint the entire bag white to still have a white-colored bunny or you can paint sections white or have a different colored bunny. Supplies Needed

How to Make an Easter Candy Holder Bag

Begin by using a ruler to measure and mark off your paper so it is a square.

Now, you will cut the excess paper off, and be left with a square.

Use your ruler and paper cutter, to cut 4 sections on one side of the paper that will be used to fold together for a bottom on the paper. See the video if unsure on how to do this step.

Now, you will fold your paper on the crease where each “flap” is, and fold over onto itself creating a rectangular “box”. You will begin folding the bottom pieces over themselves to criss cross and secure the bottom of the box.

Glue the sides together, and then add a drop of glue to the bottom flaps to hold in place if wanted.

Now, you will draw 2 bunny feet onto the white paper, then pink accents on the feet on the pink paper.

Assemble your bunny feet.

Glue the feet to the bottom front of the bag about 1-1 1/2″ above the bottom.

Next, cut out 2 ear shapes from white paper, and 2 smaller pieces from the pink paper to go inside the white ears.

Attach the pink to the white to create the ears.

Glue the ears in place on the back top of the bag.

Now, you will use the green paper to cut a strip the width of the bottom of the bag, and cut strips of fringe to resemble grass.

Glue the grass piece onto the bottom of the bag below the feet.

Draw a face onto the bag.

Now fill with goodies for giving to our kids or their friends.

Instructions

1. Measure and cut your white paper into a square;
2. Now, use the ruler to measure and cut 4 sections on one side of the paper - these sections will just be about 2\" high, and not cut off, but notched, see video for the further tutorial;
3. Now, fold the paper where you have cut the notches, to create a rectangular bag/box shape;
4. Fold the bottom inward, and attach with glue;
5. Now, draw 2 bunny feet on the white paper, then 6 circles for toes, and 2 larger circles for the foot pad on the pink paper;
6. Cut out and glue your feet together;
7. Glue the feet to the bottom of the bag, about 1\" from the bottom;
8. Now, cut 2 ears out of the white paper, and 2 slightly smaller ears out of the pink paper;
9. Glue the ears together;
10. Attach the ears to the top back of the bag;
11. Now, cut a strip of green paper the width of your bag, and cut it halfway to create a fringe;
12. Glue the grass onto the bottom of the bag below the feet;
13. Draw on a face and embellish as wanted;
14. Now you can fill with candy!

Notes

Feel free to let your kids make these on any color paper they want. Let them decorate and add glitter, ribbons, sequins, or other decorations to make their bunny unique.
